Exhibition at FCC Angkor by Avani, Opening March 7, 2020, from 6:30 pm

A true citizen of the world, artist Burhan AMER (1960, Jordan) studied civil engineering in Shanghai before moving to Brussels and traveling extensively five continents.

This worldwide creative experience is well reflected in his artwork, a highly original rendition of East-meets-West aesthetics. Different cultures color his inner world with bright tones, shimmering splashes and uniformly colored surfaces in light gradations.

With an ever-evolving palette, Burhan expresses changing moods and atmospheres in tune with the seasons. His Siem Reap exhibition will particularly focus on Spring.

And since spring is also the moment of the year chosen to celebrate International Women's Day, Burhan has decided to join the Nomadix Women Artists Tour event in the blossoming gardens of Wat Damnak Pagoda in Siem Reap (March 6 & 7), contributing a dedicated painting he just completed on the spur of the moment.

Then, the tireless wandering artist will be on the road again, joining the Affordable Art Fair in Brussels end of March, then heading to Luxemburg for an exhibition, then again to China, where his art has met much acclaim, for yet another one.
